Interior surfaces and fit-out manufacturer honoured with ‘Social Impact’ prize
Morland, part of Interior Products Group Ltd, has been recognised as the ‘Social Impact’ winner at the 2025 Made in Britain Impact Awards, celebrating its outstanding commitment to community engagement, employee well-being and social responsibility.
The Welshpool-based business, which is one of the UK’s leading interior surfaces and fit-out manufacturers, secured the accolade at the ceremony this week, hosted by Made in Britain – the internationally recognised trademark for British-made goods.
Judges praised Morland for embedding social responsibility into every level of its operations, from dedicated leadership and long-term community partnerships to comprehensive employee health and well-being programmes. Its initiatives include a company-wide volunteering scheme, multi-year sponsorship of The Game Change Project – a charity supporting young people – and a robust programme of workplace support encompassing mental health, physiotherapy and career development.
John Pearce, CEO of Made in Britain, said:
“I’m delighted to recognise Morland as Made in Britain’s Social Impact winner for 2025. This award celebrates manufacturers that use their expertise and influence to strengthen their communities, and Morland stands out for turning that commitment into action. From employee well-being and volunteering initiatives to education partnerships and local sponsorships, their approach shows how social purpose and commercial success can go hand in hand. It’s a brilliant example of a British manufacturer leading by example.”
The award was judged by Benafsha Delgado, Head of Social Sustainability Programme for the UN Global Compact Network UK, and presented by Simon Boyd, Executive Director of Made in Britain. Judges commended Morland for the depth and consistency of its community engagement and the long-term value of its partnerships.
Paul Millington, Key Account Manager at Morland, added: “The team at Morland are incredibly proud of the work and the effort that they put in going out and volunteering in the local community. I’m delighted to accept this award on their behalf.”
