Pro Steel Engineering Appoints Haydn Roberts as New Operations Director

Following three years at Pontypool-based Pro Steel Engineering, Haydn Roberts has been promoted to the role of Operations Director.

With overall operational responsibility across the business from design and fabrication, through to site assembly and maintenance, Haydn, who lives in Penarth, will now focus on enhancing the firm’s growth strategy.

Haydn, who was promoted from Projects Director said: It’s a really significant and exciting time here at Pro Steel and I’m eager to continue our growth across key sectors, while also targeting new markets where I believe we can add value. Our successful delivery of the Fixed Link Bridges and Nodes at Manchester Airport was a key project won when I first joined which allowed us to establish ourselves in the aviation sector, and now with continued growth across the sector, we’re fast becoming the go-to for new and existing clients, which is testament to the service we provide.

We have a great team of people based at the head office in Pontypool and our new satellite office in Heathrow, and within my new role I’m keen to develop and upskill them to ensure they are achieving their potential and we’re providing them with the opportunities to grow. With clarity and clear career paths in place, the team is now guided by a dedication to safety and quality, and so regardless of sector, we’ll not only have the best people working for us, but we’ll also deliver on our mission to be the best service-led structural steel business in the UK.

Richard Selby, Director and Co-Founder, Pro Steel Engineering said: Haydn has demonstrated his commitment and operational instincts from day one with us. He has great ideas that will undoubtedly take the business to the next level and crucially ensure we take every single employee on that journey with us by giving them the opportunities to develop and experience new projects and skills.
