Bouygues Begins Major Work on £80 Million NHS Diagnostic Centre
Major construction has commenced on the new £80 million NHS Ambulatory Diagnostic Centre (ADC) at West Middlesex University Hospital. Bouygues UK is leading the development of this state-of-the-art, all-electric, five-storey facility, which is set to revolutionize diagnostic and treatment services for the communities of Hounslow, Richmond and Ealing.
The ADC is expected to significantly boost diagnostic capacity, with projections indicating a 43% increase in elective diagnostic services and an additional 67,000 imaging scans over the next decade. This enhancement will play a crucial role in meeting the growing healthcare needs of the local population.
Fabienne Viala, Chair and CEO of Bouygues UK, expressed her excitement about the project: We are thrilled to officially break ground at the site of this transformative project for Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This centre is set to bring essential diagnostic and treatment services right to the doorstep of the local community.
In addition to its healthcare benefits, the project aims to promote community growth and sustainability. Bouygues UK has partnered with MITSkills, the London Borough of Hounslow, and JCP Hounslow to develop local skills and create employment opportunities throughout the project’s duration.
We are proud to continue supporting the NHS in providing exceptional care closer to home, Fabienne Viala added.
