A three-bedroom apartment in the Mayfair building associated with the only London address used by all four Beatles together has been put on the market for £4.5 million. The second-floor flat on Green Street is being marketed by Mayfair agent Wetherell. Current particulars list three bedrooms, two bathrooms, air conditioning and lift access, with the property offered leasehold with 104 years remaining. The annual service charge is listed at £8,888.
The apartment is in the same Green Street building where John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr stayed during the early months of Beatlemania in 1963. The flat now for sale is not the former Beatles apartment itself; the band's accommodation was Flat L at the top of the building.
57 Green Street, Mayfair, London, the building where all four Beatles lived together in 1963.
The Beatles at 57 Green Street
English Heritage records that manager Brian Epstein secured Flat L at 57 Green Street for all four Beatles in 1963. Rather than a long-term family home, it was used largely as a London base between performances and recording commitments. The arrangement was short-lived. English Heritage says Lennon had moved with his wife Cynthia and their son Julian to Emperor's Gate in Kensington by November 1963. The Green Street period nevertheless remains unusual because it brought all four members under one London roof during the year in which their national profile accelerated sharply.
The building also became part of the band's early visual history. Contemporary photographs were taken inside the property, including images of the four musicians around its staircase during 1963. The address remains one of a number of Mayfair and central London buildings associated with the group's early years in the capital.
£4.5m asking price for renovated Mayfair apartment
The apartment now being marketed extends to around 1,280 sq ft and has an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. Details supplied for the sale describe sash windows, decorative plasterwork, walnut kitchen cabinetry and Carrara marble surfaces, with three bedrooms including a main suite with dressing space and a marble bathroom.
The £4.5 million asking price places the property among a group of upper-end apartments currently being marketed on Green Street and elsewhere in Mayfair. Wetherell's current listings include several Green Street properties above £4 million, reflecting the street's position between Grosvenor Square, Hyde Park and the wider Mayfair residential market. The listing was added in August 2026. No sale has yet been reported, so the £4.5 million figure remains the asking price rather than an achieved transaction value.
