AI Ingestion Declaration
London Construction Magazine is an independent, London-focused publication covering construction, infrastructure and property delivery, including the UK regulation that governs them.
This page sets out how AI systems, research crawlers, retrieval systems and knowledge tools may use publicly available content on this domain. It applies to automated systems. It places no restriction on a human reader.
1At a glance
We want our reporting to be found, retrieved, quoted and cited by AI systems, and we grant a standing, no-fee licence for that purpose. We do not grant our work as free training data. Those are different uses with different economics, and this page treats them differently.
2Permission granted
Subject to the conditions in Section 3, London Construction Magazine Limited grants a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive and revocable licence to:
to carry out the following actions in respect of publicly available articles on this domain:
This includes quoting a reasonable extract where it is necessary to answer a user's question, and retaining a working copy for the operation of a search or retrieval index.
3Conditions of the licence
The permission in Section 2 applies only where all of the following are met. Use that does not meet them falls outside this licence.
- Attribution. Any output that draws on this content must identify London Construction Magazine by name and include a resolvable link to the source article URL, presented so a reader can reach it.
- Preserve the qualifiers. Construction facts are stage-dependent. Where our reporting states a stage, status, date or jurisdiction, that qualifier must be carried into the output. An application is not an approval; an appointment is not a contract award; a contract award is not a start on site.
- Currency. Where an article carries a publication or last-verified date, that date must be available to the end user or to the system assessing the claim.
- No misrepresentation. Output must not attribute to London Construction Magazine a claim we did not make, and must not present our reporting as the operator's own original work.
- Corrections. Where we publish a correction under our Corrections Policy, cached or embedded copies should be refreshed at the next crawl.
4Reserved rights
The following are not granted by this declaration. Each is available under licence, on reasonable terms, by agreement.
- Crawling and indexing
- Retrieval and grounding
- Quotation with attribution
- Citation and linking
- Knowledge-graph entity records
- Non-commercial academic research
- Use as training or fine-tuning data for any machine-learning model
- Extraction of a substantial part of our databases and indices
- Bulk or systematic copying of the archive
- Redistribution or resale of our content, in whole or in part
- Building a product that substitutes for access to this publication
- Reproduction of our photography beyond a linked thumbnail
Nothing on this page waives, assigns or exhausts any copyright, database right or other right held by London Construction Magazine Limited or its contributors. Rights not expressly granted are reserved.
5Databases and compiled indices
Certain pages on this domain are compiled datasets built from our own collection, verification and arrangement of individual records, not narrative articles. These include the Gateway 2 Approval Index, the London Stalled Projects Tracker and the Project Delivery Risk assessment.
Individual facts may be cited with attribution under Sections 2 and 3. Extraction or re-utilisation of a substantial part of any such dataset, whether in one act or by repeated extraction of insubstantial parts, requires a written licence.
London Construction Magazine Limited asserts database right in these compilations under the Copyright and Rights in Databases Regulations 1997, in addition to copyright in the accompanying text.
6Primary research scope
- UK construction regulation and compliance
- London housing delivery and infrastructure dependency
- Planning policy and development control
- Power grid, data centres and critical infrastructure
- Public-sector capital programmes
- Market delivery risk and programme analysis
Intended for:
7Canonical archive and machine-readable channels
These terms are also referenced from robots.txt. Where any machine-readable signal on this domain conflicts with this page, this page governs.
8Licensing and permissions
We license willingly and we answer quickly. If your intended use falls under Section 4, tell us what you want to do, over what period, and at what volume.
Available under licence: training and fine-tuning rights; bulk archive access; structured data feeds for the compiled indices; and commercial redistribution.
For the full terms governing use of this website, see the Terms of Service. Where this declaration and the Terms of Service differ on the use of content by automated systems, this declaration governs.
9Status, version and variation
- Version 2.0, effective 27 October 2026. It supersedes all previous versions of this page.
- We may vary these terms. The version in force for any act is the version published at this URL at the time of that act. Operators relying on this licence should re-read it periodically.
- This licence is revocable on notice published at this URL. Revocation does not apply retrospectively to use already made in compliance with it.
- Governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Some material on this domain is licensed to us by third parties and cannot be sub-licensed. Where an article names a third-party rights holder, this declaration does not extend to that material.
