The Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans play at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 18 October 2026, with kick-off confirmed for 14:30. Thousands of NFL fans will be travelling into Wembley Park, and several roads around the stadium will close before and after the game.
For most supporters, the simplest plan is to arrive by public transport, avoid relying on local street parking and check the NFL clear-bag rules before leaving home. Wembley Stadium is served by Wembley Park, Wembley Stadium and Wembley Central stations, while official stadium parking is available to pre-book for drivers. The game falls during a busy London transport weekend. Fans travelling from outside the capital or connecting through central London should also check LCM's London Tube and Train Closures guide for 17–18 October before setting out.

Jaguars vs Texans at Wembley: key times
| Event detail | Sunday 18 October 2026 |
|---|---|
| Fixture | Jacksonville Jaguars vs Houston Texans |
| Kick-off | 14:30 |
| Fan zones | From around 10:30 until 14:00 |
| General entry times | Still TBC |
| Venue | Wembley Stadium, London |
Wembley Stadium's event page confirms the 14:30 kick-off but currently lists general entry times and the final game-day guide as TBC. Fans should therefore check their ticket and the official event page again closer to Sunday rather than relying on an assumed gate-opening time. Wembley's information for local residents says event fan zones open four hours before the start and close 30 minutes before kick-off. On the current timetable that means approximately 10:30 to 14:00.
Best way to get to Wembley Stadium
Wembley is designed around public transport on major event days. Three stations serve the stadium:
Wembley Park is served by the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines. Wembley says enhanced services are planned on both lines for the NFL event. From the station, supporters approach the stadium along Olympic Way.
Wembley Stadium is served by Chiltern Railways and is the closest National Rail station to the venue. Wembley says enhanced Chiltern services are planned for the event.
Wembley Central is served by the Bakerloo line and Lioness line, as well as National Rail services. Wembley currently describes the Bakerloo and Lioness services as operating normally for the event, although passengers should check live information because wider Sunday engineering work is affecting parts of the London rail network.
For supporters arriving through central London, Wembley Park is likely to be the most straightforward station for many journeys because both the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines serve it directly.
Sunday rail closures could affect the journey to Wembley
The NFL game takes place on the same Sunday as several planned railway changes elsewhere in London. West Coast Main Line services into and out of London Euston are reduced during engineering work, which matters for fans travelling from Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and other destinations on the route.
The Lioness line also has a reduced service into Euston during part of Sunday. Fans planning to use Wembley Central should therefore check their exact journey rather than assuming the normal Sunday timetable. London Victoria's National Rail terminal is also closed to Southern and Gatwick Express services on Sunday. Anyone arriving through Gatwick should see LCM's London Victoria and Gatwick Express closure guide before travelling across London to Wembley.
Driving to Wembley: parking must be planned in advance
Wembley recommends using its official stadium car parks for anyone driving to the game. Official parking can be pre-booked online, with the Jacksonville Jaguars vs Houston Texans fixture listed for 18 October. Bookings made through the official parking system are valid from 07:00 until 03:00 on the event day.
Drivers should not plan to find unrestricted street parking around Wembley. Brent Council operates the Wembley Stadium Event Day Protective Parking Scheme, which limits parking across a large surrounding area to residents and businesses holding valid event-day permits. Brent Council says event-day restrictions generally operate from 08:00 to midnight on main roads near the stadium and from 10:00 to midnight in many surrounding residential streets. Vehicles parked in restricted areas without permission can receive a penalty charge and may be removed.
Road closures around Wembley Stadium
A number of roads immediately around the stadium will close as crowds arrive. Wembley says the main pre-event closures begin approximately four hours before the event starts, which for a 14:30 kick-off means fans and drivers should expect restrictions from around 10:30, subject to operational conditions on the day.
The full pre- and post-event closure list includes:
Atlantic Crescent
Pacific Crescent
South Way between Wembley Hill Road and Pink Parking
Engineers Way between Empire Way and First Way
Fulton Road between Empire Way and Albion Way
Rutherford Way, with resident and delivery access only

Further restrictions are introduced after the game as tens of thousands of supporters leave the stadium. Wembley lists post-event closures affecting Empire Way, London Road, Ecclestone Place and the Wembley Triangle. Anyone being dropped off by taxi or private car should also note that roads immediately beside the stadium are restricted on event days. Wembley identifies the corner of Engineers Way and Rutherford Way as the closest normal drop-off location, subject to event-day traffic management.
London buses will be diverted around Wembley
Local bus routes are also affected by the event traffic plan. Wembley currently lists pre-event diversions for routes 18, 92 and 206. After the match, routes 83, 182, 223, 224 and 483 are expected to be diverted while the post-event road closures and crowd-management arrangements are in place.
NFL clear bag policy at Wembley
NFL games use an event-specific clear bag policy, which is different from Wembley's general A4 bag rule. Fans should follow the NFL policy for this game. The NFL's current clear-bag policy allows clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags measuring no more than 12 x 6 x 12 inches, approximately 30.5 x 15.25 x 30.5cm.
A one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag is also permitted. Small clutch bags measuring no more than 4.5 x 6.5 inches can be carried, with or without a strap or handle. Medically necessary items are exempt from the normal size restrictions after inspection. Wembley advises supporters requiring medical exemptions to arrange them before event day. The simplest option is to bring as little as possible. Every bag and item is subject to security screening before entry.
Wembley is cashless
Wembley Stadium operates as a cashless venue. Food, drink and other stadium kiosks accept card and contactless payments, but not cash. Wembley also states that children under two are not permitted inside the stadium for this NFL event.
Tickets and entry times
The official Wembley event page currently provides a link to buy tickets for the game. Supporters should use official ticketing channels and check the details attached to their booking before travelling. As of the latest Wembley event information, general stadium entry times remain TBC. Wembley says the game-day guide will be published closer to the event, so fans should check again during the final days before 18 October.
Getting home after the game
Large crowds will be released into the Wembley transport network at the same time after the final whistle. Post-event road closures are designed to protect pedestrian routes and manage the movement of supporters towards Wembley Park, Wembley Stadium and Wembley Central. Wembley says enhanced Metropolitan, Jubilee and Chiltern services are planned, but passengers should still expect controlled station access and queues while crowds disperse. Fans with onward National Rail journeys should leave enough time for interchange and check the last part of their journey before kick-off, particularly if connecting through Euston or another station affected by the weekend engineering programme.
